Limitless Thoughts & Ideas
Lessons in Success
The names and settings may have been changed but the experiences and learning and genuine.
To develop as an individual we need to be aware of all our strengths and failings so we can benefit and overcome them respectively. We do this in two ways, through feedback from others and by personal reflection, but it is often the case that as human beings we feel unable to undertake one or both of these processes.
This has never been more apparent than in a coaching session for a line manager that I undertook last year. The organisation was prepared to invest in a number of sessions if need be, but it only took one session to realise that this individual simply needed to take time to reflect and learn in her day. Life and work had become too busy for this manager who in spite of receiving a variety of negative feedback seemed incapable of change. I first became her mirror, helping her to see and reflect what had happened in her life, and secondly walked her through a process of reflection that would work for her in her busy day. In the space of 3 hours she was a changed person, because she had learned (or been reminded of) the tools she needed to make her own changes.

Limitless for Business
The best and simplest book I have ever read on building motivation in the workplace:
Intrinsic Motivation at Work: Kenneth W. Thomas

Limitless for Achievement
His latest book is being raved about by Oprah, this earlier book is great for encouraging another approach to problems:
The Power of Now: Eckhart Tolle

Limitless for Life
This is an inspiring and witty book putting life into perspective. The book is now a film too for those of a more visual nature:
The Diving Bell and The Butterfly: Jean-Dominique Bauby
